Privacy Policy

LeagueDrafts (leaguedrafts.com) runs live drafts for real sports leagues. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it the way we'd want to read it.

The short version: we collect what a draft needs and nothing else, we don't sell or share your information for advertising, most of the information in the system is put there by your league's commissioner, and you can ask us to delete your data by emailing [email protected].

1. Information we collect, and where it comes from

Information you give us directly. When you create an account we collect your email address, a display name, and optionally an avatar image. If you sign in with Google, Google sends us your email address, name, and Google account identifier — we do not receive your Google password or contacts. If you sign in by email, we collect the email address you use to receive a one-time sign-in code.

Information your commissioner provides about you. This is the most important thing to understand about LeagueDrafts: most player information is uploaded by a league commissioner, not by the player. When a commissioner imports their league's player pool (from a spreadsheet, or from a league-management system such as TopScore/Ultimate Central that their organization has connected), the import typically includes player names and may include, depending on what the league collects at registration: email address, the league's gender match/ratio category (used to enforce mixed-league roster rules), self-rated or league-rated skill information, availability (such as weeks you'll miss), linked-player ("baggage") requests, and other columns the commissioner defines. We require commissioners to represent that they have the authority and any needed consents to upload this information (see our Terms of Service). We deliberately do not import birth dates or photos from connected registration systems.

Ratings and notes about players. Team managers can keep draft boards with rankings, ratings, and notes about players in their league. These are visible to that team's managers (and the league's commissioner where league settings allow), not to the players being rated. We tell you this here because we would want to know it: if you play in a league that drafts on LeagueDrafts, the captains drafting you may have written notes about your play.

Information collected automatically. A signed session cookie to keep you logged in (this is essential to the service; we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies). If you enable notifications, a push subscription for your browser or installed app. Basic product-usage events (for example: a league was created, a draft was completed) and server logs, which we use to run and improve the service. Error reports may include technical details about your session. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-less analytics service that gives us aggregate visit counts and performance metrics without tracking you across sites.

Payments (when paid plans launch). Payments will be processed by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers; we store only a customer reference and subscription status.

2. What we use information for

To run your league's drafts — the entire product. To sign you in and secure your account. To send the emails the product needs: sign-in codes, league invitations, and post-draft summaries. To send push notifications you have enabled (such as "you're on the clock"). To support you when something goes wrong, to keep the service reliable and secure, and to understand product usage in aggregate.

What we do not do: we do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use league data to market to players.

3. Who can see what

Visibility inside LeagueDrafts follows league roles. Your league's commissioner can see the league's full player pool and settings. Team managers can see the player pool for drafting, their own team's board and notes, and draft results. League members and viewers can see draft results and rosters for their league. Nobody outside your league's organization can see your league's data, and other leagues cannot see yours.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run LeagueDrafts, each of which processes data only to provide their service to us: Railway (application hosting and database), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (DNS, network proxy, and privacy-preserving web analytics), Google (optional sign-in), Sentry (error reporting), and, when payments launch, Stripe. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of LeagueDrafts, our users, or others. If LeagueDrafts is ever acquired or merged, user information may transfer with the business; this policy would continue to apply until replaced.

5. Your choices and rights

Access, correction, deletion. Email [email protected] and we will show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. This includes players who never created an account — if a commissioner imported you and you want out, email us or ask your commissioner, and we will remove your player record. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Notifications. Push notifications are opt-in and can be disabled in your browser or device settings at any time.

Do not sell. We do not sell personal information, and have not done so. Nevada residents (NRS 603A.340) may nonetheless submit a verified request directing us not to sell their covered information to: [email protected]. We will honor it — trivially, since we do not sell data.

Review and changes (NRS 603A). Nevada law requires us to describe how you may review and request changes to your covered information: email [email protected].

6. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. League and draft history is kept so leagues can look back at past seasons; commissioners can delete leagues and their data. When you request deletion, we remove your personal information, with narrow exceptions we keep only as required (for example, records of a deletion request itself, or payment records required for tax purposes).

7. Security

We take reasonable measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), signed and expiring sessions, role-based access inside leagues, encrypted storage of third-party credentials, and automated backups. No online service can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your unencrypted personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including Nevada NRS 603A.220.

8. Children

LeagueDrafts accounts are for people 13 and older, and league commissioners and team managers must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts. Some leagues include minor players in their rosters; responsibility for parental consent for league registration data rests with the league, which collects it — we require this in our Terms of Service, and we do not send account invitations to rostered players in youth contexts. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Where we operate

LeagueDrafts is operated from the United States and intended for use by leagues in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the US.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and notify account holders by email or in-product notice before the changes take effect.
